If you are responsible for the maintenance of your workplace, you are legally bound by Regulation 4 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 to have an asbestos management plan for the areas for which you are responsible. The management plan will comprise the results of an asbestos survey along with details of how you plan to manage the asbestos within your areas of responsibility.
The primary purpose of the asbestos management plan is to protect tradesmen from being exposed to asbestos fibres during the course of maintenance works.
However, the management plan also serves another purpose - it provides yours employees with valuable information to ensure that they do not inadvertently disturb asbestos materials during their day-to-day work. Providing your employees with such information illustrates that you, as an employer, take health and safety issues seriously.
Please see our survey types for more information or feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements.
